There are following components of fitness:
· Cardiorespiratory endurance
(how long or fast a person perform an activity and what are its effect on his heart and oxygen consumption)
· Muscular
endurance:
(A person can perform how many repetitions of an exercise i.e. pushups and sit ups)

strength:
(In repetition’s how much weight can moved i.e. bench press)

(During given activity how much force can be generated advanced equipment used by biomechanics are used to measure this)
· Flexibility:
(How far a muscle group can be stretched or joint can be moved i.e. hamstrings and shoulders)

(A particular position can be held how long with or without some type of activity being performed i.e. standing on one leg can be used to assess balance)
· Speed:
(How quickly an individual can move from one point to another i.e. 40-yard dash)
· Body composition;
(In a body, the amount of fat versus other tissues such as muscle, bones and skin i.e. tests using mathematical equations)
